The Eppley Airfield is isolated from the rest of Nebraska regions due to the Missouri River forming the N.E. Iowa border. Accordingly, passengers must drive through a small portion of Iowa, the city of Carter Lake to get to Eppley Field. Air travelers commuting via OMA can use a wide range of transportation means to get to or/and from the airport.
The Ground Transportation Center located at the entrance door N 3 of the terminal, on the lower level, provides phone service to connect to individual shuttles. Currently, there is no direct public transportation available to or from Eppley Airfield.
Metro Transit Line N 16 offers limited weekday rush-hour service. The Bus runs from the Eppley Airport to the downtown within 55 minutes. The bus line operated from 05.56 a.m. to 6.05 p.m. and runs every 30 minutes. Sunday Bus Service is not available.
Concerning the fares, one-way ticket for adult costs 1.25$, Adult Express 1.50$, Children aged 5-9 will pay 0.50$. Tickets for the Metro transit are sold on the board with driver. No reservation is required.
At Eppley Airport, several shuttle buses are operating and carrying passengers from the airport to the region and around.

Passengers can hail a taxi via a call button located on the island canopy outside door N 4. Passengers can call for Checker and Yellow Taxicabs at 402-339-8294.
Also, outside of the Ground level at OMA, there are Taxi ranks to take a taxi from the airport. OMA Taxicabs work 24-hours a day. Passengers can call for zTrip Taxicab at +1 763-318-2900, or for City Taxi at +1 402 933 8700. Ride from Eppley Airport to downtown Omaha costs around 11$-15$.
